Julia Fiona Roberts' parents are Walter Grady Roberts and Betty Lou Bredemus. Julia Fiona Roberts is the fourth generation Roberts living in Atlanta. Her father was enthusiastic about theatre at an early time. When he was a college students in Emory University from 1952 to 1954, he took part in numerous performances. After he enlisted in the Air Force, he appeared alongside Betty Lou Bredemus in Biloxi. They got married in the year 1955 and the couple's first child Eric Anthony was born in 1956. Walter was enrolled in Tulane University, New Orleans Louisiana. In the year 1957, they quit the Air Force and Walter began studying at Tulane. Walter was employed by Atlanta Academy Theater and Harrington Scenic and Lighting Studio. In 1960, the couple relocated in Decatur Georgia. Walter and Betty Lou started production in 1964 for the local children's Saturday morning show on television called Bum Bum and His Buddies and their Buddies, which they both funded. In 1964 Betty Lou and Walter founded their own organization called the Actors and Writers Workshop. It lasted for about six years. They were blessed with two additional children Lelisa (called Lisa) Billingsley in the year 1965, and Julia (called Julie) in 1967.
