Ayesha Takia

Ayesha Takia Azmi (born on April 10, 1986) was a former model turned actress from India who mostly appeared in Hindi films. Ayesha Takia won the Filmfare Best Debut Award in 2004 due to her character in the film Taarzan The Wonder Car, which marked her debut on screen. The actress then appeared in a number of popular films, including Paathshaala (2010) Wanted (2009) Salaam-E-Ishq (2007) and Socha Na Tha (2010). The first commercial she appeared in was for Complan the well-known drink for its health benefits. Shahid Kapoor, the Bollywood superstar appeared with her in"I'm a Complan boy/I am a Complangirl. The singer also performed in the remix for Nahin Nahin Abhi Nahin. The popularity of the track across India as it was remixed brought her fame. In the following months, she was receiving invitations to appear in Bollywood film projects. Taarzan The Wonder Car was known late to her debut, which was supposed to be part of the film Socha Na Tha but was put off by production problems. Ayesha's bravery was shown by her slamming of her political father-inlaw Samajwadi Party Samajwadi Party member Abu Azmi for his views regarding the punishment of rape victims.
